WeEnvision CEEN (Career, Education, Equity, Network) initiatives are designed to champion the college and career advancement of multilingual and multicultural Michigan adults of all backgrounds. Through active membership in Professional Learning Communities and individualized coaching, CEEN empowers its members with specialized skills and valuable intercultural experiences to thrive in college, careers, and beyond.
What makes CEEN unique? Mentors and coaches are professionals from the very communities they serve, receiving mentoring themselves from experts in their respective career fields—bringing the transformative power of mentorship full circle.
The WeEnvision CEEN program is built on four pillars that support adults in the application and evaluation of skills through real-world projects and coaching through every stage of their journey:
Career exploration and preparation for workforce trends.
Education requirements and pathway guidance to align with career goals.
Equity in access to educational opportunities, career entry, and advancement.
Network building through mentorship and continuous professional learning.
MCAN ReConnect Outreach (Underway): Supporting students and young adults with access to college opportunities through outreach initiatives.
College Access Coaching Seminars (Underway): Providing targeted coaching and resources to help students navigate the college application process and succeed in higher education.
Biannual Literacy Conference (March 2025): A convening of Language Acquisition and Literacy researchers and practitioners to facilitate interactive breakout sessions to PK12 educators of multilingual learners .
College and career preparation is especially critical during the transformative high school years. Our initiatives offer students the tools and support they need to develop skills in literacy analysis, math reasoning, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship.Even the most accomplished students benefit from culturally responsive coaching to qualify for their desired college or career pathways. WeEnvision CEEN offers:
• Group Seminars for skill development and knowledge sharing.
• One-on-One Mentoring tailored to individual goals.
• Individualized Coaching to prepare for the ACT, SAT, GRE and career-specific entrance exams.
Full Circle Mentorship: Emerging professionals serve as mentors to youth while being mentored by experienced professionals in their field.
Equity and Access: CEEN provides culturally responsive coaching and industry relevant networking opportunities ensuring participants are well-prepared and empowered to reach their goals.
Community Impact: By supporting young adults from diverse backgrounds, CEEN strengthens the local workforce and promotes lifelong success.
