Exceptional Educators Across PK-20 Honored for Advancing Literacy Development, Cultivating Talent, and Elevating Communities.

The WeEnvision Literacy Across Languages Conference at UM-Dearborn included twenty facilitators leading interactive professional development sessions emphasizing the significance of intentional literacy development, employing instructional technologies, and demystifying AI to complement teachers’ expertise.
Exceptional Leaders were recognized for their specific contributions, commitment to leveraging communities’ unique strengths and ability to uplift their colleagues to build bridges.
Additionally, the talent and commitment of six instructional specialists across school buildings and intermediate school districts of the Southeast Michigan area were highlighted during the conference’s closing.

Distinguished Community Leaders in Education and Exceptional Multilingual Seniors Recognized during Literacy Conference Iftaar Dinner

The inaugral WeEnvision Literacy Across Languages Conference at UM-Dearborn culminated in a breaking of Ramadan fast celebration at Habib's Cuisine. Conference attendees and presenters from across the State along with proud families cheered on as 9 exceptionally accomplished high school seniors were awarded the Alia Foundation Exceptional Multilingual Student scholarship.

Dr. Ahlam Bazzi, Alia Foundation founder, highlighted the value of the village needed to advance MLs' opportunities for success emphasizing the role of pioneering educators as the "giants whose shoulders we stand on" to sustain culturally and linguistically relevant education that maximizes communities' growth.

The three education giants recognized, Dr. Noureldine Saab from the private secotor, Dr. Intisaar Harajli from the public sector, and Mrs. Nawal Hamadeh from the public charter sector received the surprise tribute with beaming pride and humility.
